Connect with the Crisis Line.​​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Content_Area1 ​ The Wisconsin Veterans Homes are beautiful in the winter! Pictured is the rime ice taking over at the Veterans Home at King campus. Thank you to the volunteers who helped us continue our tradition of honoring the lives and legacies of Wisconsin's heroes during the holiday season this year. The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Union Grove enjoyed a "deer hunting" event, where staff played the part of the deer and let the members "shoot" them with foam darts. Murals recently installed on the Wisconsin Veterans Museum raise awareness of the contributions of Wisconsin veterans, even after their military service ends. Our Veterans Homes members and staff rolled up their sleeves to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Member Bobby Wenzel was the first to receive the vaccine in MacArthur Hall. Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery received a donated flag from 10-year-old Jaden Conerly. Jaden's grandfather, Lindford W. Southard, is inurned in the cemetery. Members at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King enjoyed seeing their family and loved ones who were able to join us for our holiday car parades.
